From the East
Brethren,
February is a month full of love and heart throbbing moment in the lives of many couples either married couples or sweethearts waiting for the right time to tie the knots. Valentine’s Day brings warm thoughts of family ties reminding us how it means to love and to belong. We, the members of Black Mountain Lodge celebrated Valentine’s Day with our better halves and the widows of our departed brothers at the Scottish Rite Center. Our desire was to express our appreciation to all the love and support they had given us in the past twelve months. The dinner was catered by the Ranch Catering and roses were presented to each of the sisters present and hoped that this grandeur gesture made up for everything they have done for us and our families. Some of the attendees were new applicants along with their wives or girlfriends which demonstrated their true desire in joining the Fraternity. Also, a brother who had been absent for many years because of family commitments joined us and recommitted himself to be with us more often. There were emotional and humorous moments shared with one another which are indications of a healthy Lodge and most importantly made favorable first impression to the new applicants and their guests.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who attended the Stated Dinner especially to our brethren in one way or another put their best efforts in coordinating the Stated Dinner, buying of bouquet of flowers and setting the Lodge. Success in every endeavor comes easy with the joint efforts of the officers and members of the Lodge. Again, please accept my humble appreciation. Thank you very much and may everyone have a Happy Valentine’s Day.
